Who we are
Promptlens is run by its UK-based founder, who is the controller of the personal data collected on this site. To contact us, reply to any email from Promptlens.
Promptlens is in development and hasn’t launched. What the site describes are current plans and may change.
What we collect
- From the waiting-list form: your email address and first name, your store name and website if you give them, your answers to the five questions, whether you’d take a call, and your marketing consent (that you ticked the box, when, and which version of the wording you saw).
- Technical data Kit records when you sign up, such as your IP address and the time.
- Where you found us: the link tag (for example ?ref=reddit) or the website that sent you.
Please don’t put confidential information in your answers.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To email you waiting-list updates, early access and launch news about Promptlens. Lawful basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form.
- To decide what to build and to arrange a call if you asked for one. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in building a product that fits what waiting-list members need.
You can withdraw consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by replying to any email from us.
Who processes it
Your details are stored with Kit (Kit Inc., United States), our email provider, which processes them on our behalf. Data sent to the US is covered by the transfer safeguards in Kit’s Data Processing Addendum. Kit may show a reCAPTCHA check (by Google) if it needs to confirm you’re human; that check is subject to Google’s privacy policy. This site is hosted on Cloudflare. We do not sell your data; if that ever changed, we would update this notice first.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and in any case we delete waiting-list data if Promptlens has not launched within 12 months of your sign-up.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, or object to or restrict how we use it. Reply to any email from Promptlens and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and loads no analytics. Our host, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie. Kit’s reCAPTCHA check, shown only if Kit asks for it, may set cookies.
